Spent a couple of hours this afternoon watching the large flock of finches which have been feeding on thistle for the last few days at Alderbottom.

I have the total at around 85, the flock included at least 10 Siskin, 5 Linnet, 6 Chaffinch, the rest were Goldfinch most of which were juveniles.
