Cormorant, 1 on the "U boat" on Clowbridge Res,

Canada Goose, a pair in "The Bowl" towards Crown Point,

Mallard, 2 on Clowbridge , 4 on Clough Bottom and 2 males on the moor,

Tufted Duck, male on the back pond at Clowbridge,

Kestrel, 1 at Clowbridge and a male carrying prey at Windy Bank,

Pheasant, c6 calling birds,

Curlew, pair at Clowbridge & a pair near Swinshaw Moor,

Lapwing, pairs near Waggoners and on Nutshaw,

Common Sandpiper, pairs on Clowbridge & at Clough Bottom,

L.B.B.Gull, c12 over west,

Wood Pigeon, c30 with 20 in Peers Clough,

Swift, c12 feeding over the car park at Clowbridge first thing,

G.S.Woodpecker, calling bird in Peers Clough,

Skylark, good numbers with c40 birds including many singing birds,

Swallow, c50 with 20 feeding over the car park at Clowbridge and others over the moors or around farm buildings,

House Martin, 3 feeding over Point Wood and 1 over Greenfold,

Meadow Pipit, c50 with many displaying birds,

Pied Wagtail, c6 especially at Swallow Shore,

Wheatear, 1 at Swallow Shore and 4 on rough pasture near Greenfold,

Song Thrush, singing birds at Clowbridge, Clough Bottom & Peers Clough,

Mistle Thrush, 1 at Clough Bottom,

Willow Warbler, c20 mainly at Clowbridge,

Grasshopper Warbler, 1 reeling from rushes near Compston's Cross,

Great Tit, c12 singing birds,

Blue Tit, 2 singing birds,

Coal Tit, singing bird at Windy Bank,

L.T.Tit, 1 at Clowbridge,

Goldcrest, 2 singing birds at Clough Bottom,

Rook, 2 near Peers Clough,

Chaffinch, c12 singing birds,

Greenfinch, single males at Clowbridge car park, Clough Bottom and Peers Clough,

Goldfinch, pair at Peers Clough,

Linnet, pair near Compston's and single near Swallow Shore,

Reed Bunting, 3 pairs which is a low number for the habitat in this area.
