Cormorant, 1 flew onto Calf Hey and preened on the edge of the res,
Grey Heron, 2 flew down Ogden,
Canada Goose, 57 on Holden Wood,
Mallard, c12,
Sparrowhawk, single male & single female,
Red Grouse, a group of 3 on the tops!
Pheasant, 1 calling,
Moorhen, 1 on quarry lake,
Snipe, 12 on the tops! (Neil Burke had 23 earlier in the morning!)
Golden Plover, a flock of 8 on the tops! (Neil  had a flock of 29 earlier!)
B.H.Gull, c12,
L.B.B.Gull, 2,
Wood Pigeon, c20,
Dipper, 1 flew length of Holden Wood to inlet,
Green Woodpecker, 1 calling most of morning!
G.S.Woodpecker, 1,
Grey Wagtail, 2,
Pied Wagtail, c6,
Redwing, c200 in small flocks max 50,
Fieldfare, c20 in small flocks max 7,
Mistle Thrush, 2,
Starling, c30 heading west,
Bullfinch, 2 groups calling from cover,
Siskin, 3 singles and a flock of 3,

Hi Dave

I walked around Grane this afternoon and missed quite a bit of this, but I can add the following

golden plover 2 flocks on Haslingden Moor 15 & 17
Canada goose 62 on Holden Wood
kestrel 1 at Deep Clough & 1 at Calf Hey
treecreeper 1 in mixed flock with minimum of 12 long tailed tits, 3 blue tit, 2 great tit, 4 coal tit & 3 goldcrest
stonechat 1m at Calf Hey
song thrush 1 at Clough Head
long tailed tit 12 at Clough Head
