One each of Dipper and Grey Wagtail on the river on the way up.
40 Mallard loafing on the river.
50 Redwing then joined by c100 moving from E. then up the Limy valley eventually moving N.W.
3 Chaffinch S. but probably only local movement.
15 Fieldfare + 5 Redwing dropped into clough from E.
12 Starling W.
3 Bullfinch moving between here and ski slope area.
c12 Redwing again moving E. then up Limy valley.
Sparrowhawk hunting low amongst bushes pursuing c40 Redwings.
At least 2 Jays in the clough.
3 Meadow Pipits all flushed fron ground.
4 LongTailed Tits with 4 Blue & 1Great.
16 Fieldfare and 13 Starling moving up the Limy valley.
1 m. Kestrel in clough.
1 Kingfisher flew downstream near Ashworth Arms on return.
Good numbers of Starling and Greenfinch at Twin lodges difficult to count because of herbage, all were feeding "well in".
Huge berry crop this year on hawthorn and holly in this area with still a large amount of blackberry & elder evident.
