Having got lucky at Clough Bottom this morning I thought I would call at Clowbridge on my way home.
There were four Wigeon, 2 males & 2 females, circling around which finally landed and a chiffchaff calling from the car park.
Then a group of Starlings started causing a commotion and I could see a female Merlin coming through at speed from the north. It then flew low just above the ground before landing on a distant fence post towards Meadow Head.
