A nice walk around the less populated parts of the res revealed:- 2 Spotted Flycatchers, 3 juvenile Bullfinch, Green Woodpecker, 2 Coal & 1 Great Tit, 35 BH Gulls, 1 juvenile Great Black Backed Gull sat on a buoy for 10 minutes,28 Mallard, 4 Tufted Duck,6 Magpie, 5 Carrion Crow, 22 Jackdaw, 28 House Martin, 15 Swallow. Makes a nice change to have something to report!!

Hi Dave

Your doing well for Spotted Flycatches, I would assume these are passage birds as the peak southerly movement is just about over. I have seen none here for a couple of weeks but have just returned from the Wye valley where they were moving through, and the Elton lads have had a few.

Are your birds adults, I don't know Cowm very well must have a visit with you sometime.
