Canada Goose, c50, mainly in pairs around the quarries but some flocks to 8 birds,

Mallard, pair on moorland pond,

Buzzard, 1 over,

Kestrel, 1 hunting the edge of the moor and one in Hutch Bank,

Pheasant, calling bird,

Lapwing, 3 pairs on the tops,

Curlew, 2 pairs on the tops,

Snipe, "chipping" bird on the tops,

L.B.B.Gull, steady movement south with around 100 birds over,

B.H.Gull, c6 over,

Stock Dove, pairs in Troy & Jamestones,

Skylark, c20 birds many in song,

Swallow, c12,

Sand Martin, c10,

Meadow Pipit, c20,

Pied Wagtail, c6,

Wheatear, 8 including 6 on pasture above Troy,

Ring Ouzel, pair on pasture,

Song Thrush, 2 singing birds,

Mistle Thrush, 2 singing birds,

Willow Warbler, c6 singing birds mainly in Heap Clough,

Coal Tit, 2 singing birds,

L.T.Tit, 1 in Heap Clough,

Raven, pair over,

Chaffinch, c12 with many in song,

Bullfinch, 4 in Heap Clough,

Linnet, 2 near Troy.
