How old was the oldest caged bird in the world when he fell off his perch?

Surprisingly it was a 34 yr old budgie called Joey.....I would have thought it would have been some aged parrot.

I will have to make my next quiz easier I think.

Ok, try this one,

There is ringed Gannet that is 37 years old and a Fulmer that is 41 years old, but what is and how old is the oldest ringed bird.

Something at the back of my mind says it's a Manx Shearwater. Don't know where that came from.....there are doubts that I even have a brain!!!!confuse
That's my guess anyway.smile

Albatross would have been my guess too !. But the one who thinks she has no brain is spot on, well done.

There is a Manx Shearwater that was born and ringed on Anglesey in 1958 and has bred every year since making it 51 years old, for the record the Fulmar was on Orkney and the Gannet was on Bass Rock.
