Mid-day walk to Clough Bottom via Red Moss and back via Compstons Cross.
1 Reed Bunting, m. 1 Pied Wag. m. 2 Kestrel. Both f. one each side of hill 5 min. singing Sky Lark Double figures of Meadow Pipit, mostly Clough Bottom side. Goldcrest in wood.
Didn't search res's, but not much to see. Couple of G.C.Grebe on Clowbridge.
Don't fancy the chances of any ground nesting birds, let alone lambs this year. Now dog walkers are banned from the path there were more than usual on the hill. Most will take care when lambs arrive I suppose, but having had a dog myself that could find a nest of meadow pipits before you could blink, they may not be aware of the damage that could be done.
