Anyone wishing to attend the funeral of Dave Ousey details below.
Friday 26th July 1:20 pm at Rochdale Crematorium then after at The Radcliffe Arms Spotland Stadium.
His family have requested blue,black and/ or white or a Rochdale AFC shirt, family flowers only and donations to Stroke Association or RSPB.

Sorry to see him leave this world and do give my condolences to his family. His reports have been and will be missed. They were compulsory reading and always made me laugh. It was always great to see David at a twitch and he would always try make sure you saw the bird and others. He was a team player and always seemed to uplift the spits of others around him.
He nicknamed me and Craggy the Rossendale Rescue Service for helping him get out of mud at the Belted Kingfisher twitch in December 2021. He gave us brilliant directions and tips on seeing the Olive Backed Pipit on the Spurn Day Out. And It made us laugh how he came to the Caspian Tern at Holden Wood in his slippers. When it disappeared he would played his part in looking for it as he did when the Grey Shrike was sighted in Alden/Musbury in 2014, where we both had a look for it.
I would love to know how many bird species he had seen in the UK. It would be a nice and deserved tribute to him.
