Waxwings in Whitworth.24/10/10
(Preview)
Whilst sat in my "front room" at 10am this morning a flock of 10 Waxwing landed in a tree opposite my house.despite a panic to get my binoculars the birds only stayed about 20 seconds,they flew of northwards and despite extensive searching were not seen again.

sometime last week, i forgot the date i saw about 60 lapwings around kowsley road which would have been the birds that roost there. i have had a few pied wagtails on my roof for a few days. they see to be here quite regular. i an see them out of my attic window as i am online - they always spy on what i do.
